By The Dock
Do you need a quick and easy Father’s Day card this weekend? Well, I have what you need right here.
Taking inspiration from the 2020-2021 Annual Catalogue (page 113) – By The Dock is a great stamp set for the men in your life or just for any time you need to make a card that gives a sense of calm and serenity.
I CASEd this card (middle above), but switched it up and made my card in landscape orientation. Still showcasing our Stampin’ Blends for this magnificent background, I used the Night of Navy and Misty Moonlight Blends to colour (well scribble really) across a piece of Whisper White to represent the water. Next, I used Purple Posy, with a smidge of So Saffron to scribble for the sky above the horizon.
I’ve used the ‘happy birthday’ sentiment from By The Dock here, but you can easily change this up for a Father’s Day greeting. I lost my father over 9 years ago, so my need for Father’s Day cards is minimal – just one for my father-in-law, but I always need plenty of masculine birthday cards.
The banner die is cut from Tasteful Labels. If you change the sentiment you may need to change what you use here too. I’m sure you will have plenty of things to choose from.
Unfortunately the twine is retired, but I didn’t have anything else in my stash that suited it quite so perfectly.
And did you know you can use your Stampin’ Blends to colour the clear or white Elegant Faceted Gems? This makes it easy to find embellishments or bling to match any colour scheme you have.
Remember, I would love for you to join my VIP Facebook group and upload any cards you make.
