Ornamental Envelopes, again!
Have you ever looked at a stamp set and wondered if you can think of some way to use it ‘outside of the proverbial box’? That’s what I challenged myself to do once I’d gotten all of the Christmas card ideas for Ornamental Envelopes ‘out of my system’ so-to-speak.
This mini catalogue is traditionally known as the ‘Holiday’ catalogue – Christmas and Halloween, but it also includes many Autumn themed sets to cover the Autumn season (for the USA and northern hemisphere). When you look at the images in this set, I really thought the little flowers were very Spring-like and wanted to showcase them more than just always focusing on the Christmas baubles but also because here in Australia, we are heading into Spring now.
I used the small flower cluster, stamped in Rich Razzleberry, Magenta Madness and Bumblebee and die cut with the coordinating Envelopes Dies.
A standard 1/2 A4 card base in Old Olive, with a small piece of Ornate Garden Specialty DSP and a 4×4 piece of Bumblebee cardstock.
I have stamped the leaf design in a circular pattern in Mossy Meadow and Old Olive to make a small wreath. Add the flowers with dimensionals, and scatter them around the wreath. Give the larger flowers some bling with Gold Glitter Enamel Dots.
Ornamental Envelopes doesn’t have any sentiments included in the set, so I’ve used one from Life is Beautiful (also included in the Holiday mini catalogue). It’s stamped in Magenta Madness, cut with the Banner Pick-A-Punch and layered over a label die cut from Tasteful Labels Dies.
All of the items I’ve used here are available to purchase in my ONLINE STORE.
Remember to upload a picture of any cards you make to my VIP Facebook group. I’d love to see them.
